Do you remember the Soundmate WM201 i've reviewed some time ago?
Well Uyesee has done it again and they bring us a new Music Streamer, the AudioCast M5
This new little device is a great and very useful gadget that turns your Speakers or your HiFi Entertainment System into smart devices that can stream music from basically everywhere including your smartphone, laptop, PC and tablet
I personally have a very high amount of respect for this company because they make high quality products and Victor who is the Sales Manager at Uyesee is one of the best business partners i had for some time now
So let's start and see what this device has to offer
In the Box
The AudioCast M5 comes in a small and very nice box and the device's best feature are printed on the sides
It also mentions that it's compatible with Pandora, Spotify, TuneIn Radio and iHeartRadio
The bottom of the box is green and a connection sceme is printed on it
Opening the box we find
- The AudioCast M5 itself
- An Auxiliary Cable
- A MicroUSB Cable
- A User's Manual
- A Uyesee Business Card from Ryan Jiang, the Sales Supervisor
- And a letter from Victor, whom i would like to thank very much for sending me this review sample
Looks & Ports
The device feels great in the hand it's circle shaped and very compact
On the top there is a nice circular carved pattern which makes it look like an old vinyl record when the light hits it and the Audiocast logo printed in the middle
On the bottom there is a circular rubber pad helping the M5 to stay in place
And on the side we find the
- WPS button which connects our device with the home WiFi network
- A Reset Hole
- The MicroUSB used to power on the device
- The 3.5mm Stereo Audio Output
In comparison with the Soundmate WM201, the AudioCast M5 is smaller and lighter but it lacks the MicroSD Card Slot, the full USB 2.0 port and the SPDIF Optical Audio Output
Specifications & Key Features
The M5 raises the bar very high and puts all the other Music Streamers to shame supporting Lossless Audio, WPS quick connection and more, below you can see a comparison chart between the AudioCast and the others
Some of the device's key features are

Operation
In order to get things started you first have to download the AudioCast application from the Google Play or the Apple App Store on your smartphone
Once you do that you just press the WPS button on the M5 in order for it to connect to your home wireless network, open the Audiocast app on your phone, find and connext to the M5 and you' re ready to go
Controlling the music is very simple and the quality it produces is just amazing
The best feature of this device is that it can create a Local Wireless network out of nowhere and stream music even if you don't have an active WiFi or a 4g connection at all
To understand the greatness of this, i've done a demonstration of me streaming music from my tablet to the M5 in my car without having an internet connection at all
To do that your car must have an Auxiliary input where you will connect the M5 and power it from a powerbank like i did or a car charger, then you have to download the app Local Cast for Android, search for the M5 and connect to it. After that you will enjoy wireless music streaming from your Android device to your car's speakers. That is great right?
Conclusion
The AudioCast M5 is an excellent and very easy to use music streamer, it's very budget friendly for what it offers and carries the best features among the other music streamers on the market and the best part is that you can even stream music without having an internet connection
Also Uyesee is a highly respectable company and i totally recommend not only the M5 but all of their products for their high quality
You can buy the AudioCast M5 from their Official Amazon Product Page
