I had the opportunity to review one of Tronsmart' s latest mini pcs and i have to say that i am very impressed
The device is on the market for a few weeks now and it looks very promising.
Let's see what you get in the box:
The connectivity ports it offers are:
At the top we can see the Tronsmart logo and a Compact Disk-like design, now if we turn this upside down and look at the bottom, we see 3 rubber pads that help your TV Box to stay in place on a slippery surface. We also see some ventilation holes
Beneath the rubber pads there are screws
If we unscrew them we can see the PCB of the device and find out that Tronsmart has done a good job
The included IR Remote looks very nice and it has basic functions such as home, menu, back, on/off, navigation arrows etc
When you power on your device you are presented with a tile based launcher which reminded me a lot of Windows 8
It's a basic launcher and you can not modify it if you want. In the settings we have 4 tabs
The network tab where you can see your wirelles networks or switch to ethernet connection
The Display tab where you can configure your resolution and also activate a screensaver
The advanced tab where you have Miracast and Digital Audio Output options
and the Other tab where you can see you Model and Build number as well as your Android and Kernel versions. Also from here you can go to the stock android settings or update your system
Performance-wise the Vega S89 is the most powerfull TV Box i've tried so far and it can handle the most demanding videos, even the 4k ones on both XBMC and android video players as you will see in my review
Some of the Specs are:
The score i got in Antutu is 22878 and it's the highest i've seen on a TV Box so far. This gives you an idea of how fast this device is

Although the S89 doesn't have an external wifi antenna, the result i've got from Wifi Analyzer was more than pleasing showing very good reception, even though between my router and the S89 are 3 concrete walls
Overall if you can afford some more money than the RK3188 boxes that are currently on the market, the Vega S89 is definitely worth to get offering more horsepower, perfect XBMC and video playback and a slik and beautiful look.
