Firmware Upgrade Tutorial for TV Boxes with Amlogic S802

This is a short guide to upgrade your Amlogic S802 TV-Box. There are two methods to update it. If there is only one file use method 1 and if there are multiple files use Method 2.

1 - From a PC with .img file
  1. Download and install the tool on your PC from HERE the appropriate drivers will be installed too.
  2. Restart your PC
  3. Run the USB_Burning_Tool that you installed on your PC and from the File / Import image img tab select the file you downloaded to install the firmware..
  4. Now turn your TV-Box off and connect it to your PC by the USB-OTG port with the MicroUSB cable. Now press the recovery button that is located beside the A/V connector and simultaneously turn the TV-Box on. If all went according to plan the flash tool will recognize your TV-Box as pictured.

     5.  Press Start and wait until the percentage counter reaches at 100%. Once the process is
complete  restart the TV-Box, it will take longer than usual to start up, it is best that you leave
it untouched for a few minutes after startup and  then restart again.

 2 - From a MicroSD Card
  1.  This procedure will need a MicroSD card formated with the Amlogic BootcardMaker tool for more security (although we can make the formatting from a PC) that you will download from HERE.
  2. Execute Amlogic BootcardMaker on your PC and run it by selecting the letter of the drive where you get your MicroSD card click yes ''to partition and format'' and choose the file u-boot.bin i have selected and press make

     3. On the MicroSD you formated all the files that you downloaded to update your TV-Box
(one zip file, factory_update_param.aml, and u-boot.bin recovery.img) in the root of the card.
     4. Put the card in your Amlogic S802 TV Box.
     5. Now press the recovery button that is located beside the A/V connector and simultaneously turn
the TV-Box on. If everything works correctly you will see that an Android appears with a
percentage bar. When the TV Box reaches 100% it Box will reboot with the new firmware installed.
