TCL T2 another android console, this time sporting the Allwinner A31

After liberalization in China, android game consoles are living a sweet moment and now a multinational company called TCL decided to launch a console intended for Chinese market. The TCL T2 is a small console that stands out for its simplicity and includes a gamepad with a design "inspired" by the OUYA one.

The TCL T2 hardware includes an Allwinner A31 Cortex-A7 Quad Core SOC, with 1Gb Ram, 16Gb of NAND Flash and WiFi b / g / n with internal antenna. As for connectivity, it has a couple of USB ports, ethernet jack and HDMI output. It has a power button on the rear and a small LED on the front and includes a wireless gamepad similar to the one OUYA has, but this has some more buttons. Regarding the operating system, it includes a customized version of Android 4.2.2 which highlights optimized GAMELOFT games.

The TCL T2 will be available in China in a few days. The starting price will be around 80€ with a subject to change. It will be difficult to compete in a market with more powerful options and the same price range.
